Meet Tara PhilipThe founder of Aluna, and the creator of the Aluna Ethos.
Tara is a business strategist with over eight years of experience across entrepreneurship, marketing and sustainability-led growth.
She grew up as an athlete. Discipline shaped her early, and with it the understanding that what you build slowly tends to hold. At seventeen she began building businesses: a jewellery brand, then a marketing agency, helping nearly a hundred brands scale over three years.
Then Covid arrived. She found herself helping brands push consumption that served a metric and not much else. The business was successful, but it felt hollow. She stepped back, moved toward purpose-led businesses, and spent three years in-house at a mission-driven organisation she genuinely believed in.
What she saw most clearly: businesses were structured around systems that were never designed for women. The constant push, linear growth and output as the only metric. And female founders paying for it with their health, their energy and their capacity to be present for the lives they were building.
She knew there was a better way to build. That is how Aluna was born.
